For Channing Tatum,éeZoë working with Zoë Kravitz was life-changing.
The actor recalled the impact his fiancée has had on him since they met on the set of her directorial debut Blink Twice in 2021.
"I don’t really make any creative decisions or very many decisions without getting her point of view now because I respect her point of view and her brain, her tastes and almost everything," Channing told E! News' Will Marfuggi exclusively at the film's premiere in Los Angeles Aug 8. "So we need each other now."
The actor also shared that the thriller brought them closer together and posed a challenge to fellow couples.
"I suggest this for anybody that’s in a relationship," Channing said. "Go find the hardest possible creative project and go do it together." (For more from Channing, tune into E! News on Monday, Aug. 12 at 11 p.m.)
The Magic Mike alum signaled the true test is "not just if you survive it, but if you enjoy it with each other."
Zoë, 35, and Channing, 44, have been engaged since at least October 2023 and have largely kept their romance out of the spotlight. But the duo turned Blink Twice's Los Angeles premiere into another major relationship milestone: Their official red carpet debut.
At the event, Zoë also shared insight into her relationship with Channing.
"There’s a shorthand when you know somebody so well and there’s so much trust there," the Big Little Lies actress told E! News. “It was a joy to work with him and I think art is the deepest expression of love, so being able to do that with my partner was amazing."
For Channing—who shares daughter Everly, 11, with ex Jenna Dewan—Blink Twice has a special place in his heart.
"Our relationship was sort of born inside of the creative process of it in a way," he previously told E! News about his bond with Zoë. "It didn't feel any different. That was what brought us together and made us really feel like we're very connected on what we love about life, what we love about just things in general about being alive."
Blink Twice is set for release Aug. 23.
Look back at Zoë and Channing's road to romance...
In a June 2021 interview with Deadline, Channing Tatum shared how honored he was that Zoë Kravitz thought to include him in her directorial debut, Pussy Island.
Amid rumblings of a romance, Tatum and Kravitz appeared to confirm their relationship status in Aug. 2021 with a sweet bike ride around New York City. "There's more than a friendship going on with Channing and Zoe," a source told E! News at the time. "They are spending a lot of time together and having fun. They are more than just close friends or co-stars. Their relationship has grown into more."
Though they initially posed separately on the 2021 Met Gala red carpet, the duo was photographed exiting the star-studded event together. Tatum even shared a photo with Kravitz on his Instagram Story from the after-party.
For their first Halloween together, the pair dressed up as Robert De Niro and Jodie Foster's characters from the film Taxi Driver.
During a chat with GQ, published in Nov. 2022, Kravitz said of Tatum, "He's just a wonderful human. He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."
After over two years of dating, multiple outlets confirmed that Kravitz and Tatum are engaged to be married.
